Stephen Scanlon, Consultant
Stephen is a Consultant within our Project Management practice and has gained experience in the UK and Irish construction industries since graduating from UCD Dublin in 2012. Stephen’s experience in the construction industry covers rail, aviation and tunnelling projects working for both contractor and client organisations. Since moving to the UK, and joining Schofield Lothian, Stephen has worked mainly in the Infrastructure Sector, most recently with the main contractor on the Thames Tideway Project. Stephen currently holds the role of Project Manager within the Asset Protection team, managing the Infrastructure & Property surveying packages along with the off-site noise mitigation package, for all Tideway East sites.
Stephen was supported by the company in achieving his Masters in Construction Project Management in 2017, and he is also working towards full membership of the Association for Project Management, recently completing the APMP course.
Roger Newman, Senior Consultant
Roger is a Senior Consultant in our QS practice and has over 40 years experience in the construction and civil engineering sectors. Roger’s experience in the construction industry covers both Building and Civil Engineering working for both contractor and client. His early experience and training was in the Building Private Development and Public Sectors working for Major Contractors from trainee through to Commercial Manger, This experience covered all aspects of financial and commercial management from Pre-Tender through to Final Account resolution.
Roger has managed projects in the rail and regulated utilities sectors. He has had experience in public procurement whilst working on Crossrail and various Olympic Games Projects. Roger is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
David Lindsay, Senior Consultant
As a Senior Consultant, David works with both client and contracting organisations to ensure that we provide a professional project management service to meet the individual needs of each project. David has delivered a number of major transport and infrastructure projects, including resignalling, full station remodelling and station upgrades. He is currently acting as a Senior Delivery Manager within Network Rail responsible for the development and completion of a scheme to deploy an overlay train protection system compatibility with the new class of international rolling stock. David is an advocate of BIM which he has deployed on a number of client infrastructure projects both in the rail and shipbuilding sectors.
David works in our Project Management practice and joined Schofield Lothian in 2010, following a long and successful career in the shipbuilding and rail industry. He has an Executive MBA, BSc Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Certificate in Project Management. He is a member of the APM and a full member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and is a Chartered Engineer.
Paul Humphrey, Practice Director
As Director of the Consents & Engagement practice, Paul works with both client and contracting organisations to ensure that we provide a professional consultancy service to meet the individual needs of each assignment or project. He is responsible for evaluating the consents, engagement and stakeholder management requirements to ensure that we deploy a cost effective and sustainable solution to our clients, either through an individual assignment or bespoke service provision. Paul is also responsible for growing our Infrastructure sector.
Paul joined Schofield Lothian in 1998 and has a BA Business Management & Financial Accounting, MAPM, and TechRICS.
